Australia offered to help India with Its solar rooftop target

3rd India – Australia Energy Security Dialogue is running in Australia. Minister of State for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy, Piyush Goyal is co-chairing the event at Australia.

Australia offered to help India with Its solar rooftop target which is 40 GW by 2022.

“Australia can help expand the spread of rooftop solar plants in India”, said Mark Bailey, Australia’s Queensland state Minister for Energy.

Agreed with the thought Piyush Goyal said, “India can use Australian expertise in rooftop solar as almost a third of Australian homes in some states are using rooftop solar.”

In Queensland, Australia every third house is using solar power out of its 10 households.

“The Australian expertise in scheduling and forecasting solar generation to enable grid integration would be welcomed by Indian companies,” He added.
